Miss Saigon - From September 2007

The classic love story of our time, MISS SAIGON, is one of the most successful musicals in the world - seen by over 30 million people in 25 countries and played in 12 different languages.

MISS SAIGON is a sensational new musical production that will blow you away.

Set in 1975 during the final days leading up to the American evacuation of Saigon, MISS SAIGON, is an epic love story about the relationship between an American GI and a young Vietnamese woman.

MISS SAIGON was seen by over three quarters of a million people in Sydney in 1995, however due to the show being too large to fit into other Australian theatres, it did not tour the country. Cameron Mackintosh relished the opportunity to create a new version which has received rave reviews all over the world.

Playing at Star City's Lyric Theatre from 20 September 2007

Friday 14th September 2007 to
Kate Cebrano - Friday 14th September 2007

Fabulous chanteuse Kate Ceberano has always showcased a diversity of talents - and on her upcoming national tour, audiences are set to be entertained in more ways than one!

Whilst her Top Ten Gold album "Nine Lime Avenue" has been setting the ARIA charts alight, Kate has also been lighting up our television screens on the smash hit programs "It Takes Two" and "Dancing With The Stars", which she triumphantly won and absolutely adored doing.

So when it became time to plan the concerts to promote "Nine Lime Avenue", Kate just knew she wanted to make the shows something special to reflect her amazing year to date.

And that's just what she's done. Kate's "Dancing With The Stars" partner John-Paul Collins is set to join the tour as a very special guest! The concert stage will be turned into a dance floor, so Kate and John-Paul can re-live some of "Dancing With The Stars" best moments! It promises to be a very special part of the evening.

"This is a dream come true," Kate says. "The opportunity to present music and dance together is a fantasy I've had since I was a little girl. John-Paul and I got away with living little pieces of art every week on national TV (that in itself is a miracle) and we received so much love and support! It only seems fair that people can continue to see it live on tour... up close and personal."

Kate and her wonderful six-piece band will then take audiences on a journey through her multi-award winning career. There will be songs from "Nine Lime Avenue" - Kate's tribute to the Eighties - such as "Brass In Pocket" (The Pretenders), "It Must Be Love" (Madness), "Throw Your Arms Around Me" (Hunters & Collectors),"Go Your Own Way" (Fleetwood Mac), "Roxanne" (The Police).

And of course all the hits from her five Platinum and five Gold albums, such as "Bedroom Eyes", "I Don't Know How To Love Him", "Brave", and "Pash" to name a few!

With her soulful voice, charismatic personality and exotic looks, Kate is one of Australia's best-loved performers and with 1.5 million album sales, one of our most successful.

Above all, whether it is in concerts or on television, she is an irresistible and natural entertainer and with the added bonus of John-Paul, Kate can't wait for the show to start.

November 2007 to
Billy Elliot The Musical - November 2007

The soaring, inspiring story of one boy’s dreams and the power of hope. The theatrical sensation Billy Elliot the Musical hits Sydney this November.

The theatrical sensation, Billy Elliot the Musical is coming to Sydney this November!

From the multi-award winning creators of the smash-hit film Billy Elliot, this sensational stage
adaptation is a funny, feel-good celebration of a young boy's dreams to be a dancer in a man's
world of hard hats, football boots and boxing gloves.
Set against the historic British miners' strike of the 1980s, this story follows the journey of a young
boy raised in a small mining town who, after stumbling across a ballet class while on his way to
a boxing lesson, realises that his future lays not in the boxing ring, but on stage as a dancer.

Spending his boxing lesson money on ballet classes, he is secretly taught by the dry-witted, chainsmoking
Mrs Wilkinson, who sees Billy’s raw talent and potential. But when his father discovers
his son's ambition, Billy must fight for his dreams and his destiny.

This heart-warming story about a boy's triumph over adversity has broken box office records in
London since its world premiere in 2005.

With music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall and directed by Stephen Daldry, the show
is a roller-coaster ride of raw and powerful ballads, uplifting show tunes and a cheeky song or two.
This truly inspiring piece of theatre has won a host of awards, in London’s West End including
Best Musical at the Olivier Awards and the Evening Standard Awards, and has critics raving.

Don’t miss this sensational show, premiering in Australia at Sydney’s Capitol theatre this
November.
